Farmers who have harvested and sold their crops have been flooded with applications to build latrines.
The 15th toilet has now been built in the Lusangazi area.
This one does not have a door, but it will be installed later and is in safe use.
Aubrey, one of our project members, explained to them how to use the toilet. (e.g. apply ash to the toilet after use, clean it daily, etc.).
As with anyone, it takes time to get used to new technology. We will continue to visit regularly to see how they are using the new toilet.
